We developed the SLC100, featuring a precision quartz clock with 16 varied weekly programmes, to automatically take control of situations such as this.
One of its 16 weekly programmes will fit into your unique lifestyle and automatically manage your critical load while at the same time ensuring that your battery storage is not needlessly drained. Even when you don't get home on time, the SLC100 ensures that you enjoy a lit evening with fresh food items by shutting off power to the critical load at the time predetermined by the user.
How does it work?
1) The user selects the start time at which the inverter power can be drawn by the critical load, usually a time when the sun is already up and charging the battery.
2) The user selects the stop time that the inverter power should no longer be drawn by the critical load; usually a couple of hours or more before sun-set to ensure charging the battery for evening use.
3) However, the mains overrides the SLC100 whenever it is available, further ensuring that the battery is charged.
4) The user chooses one of 16 programmes to apply the start and stop times selected in 1) and 2) above.
